Netflix error code: M7399-1260-00000024

Netflix is an American company that was founded on August 29, 1997, and is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. The company provides on-demand (too high) video media services over the Internet in many countries.

Right now, Netflix is one of the best-streaming media platforms in the world. The main competitors are HBOmax, Hulu, Amazon Video, Disney, YouTube, Apple TV, and AT&T.

Netflix has many movies and TV shows that are worth watching and accessible to anyone with an active subscription. However, when trying to watch movies in the Chrome browser, you can sometimes encounter the error code M7399-1260-00000024, which is often accompanied by the error message “Oh, something went wrong … anonymous error”.

 Fix error

The error code M7399-1260-00000024 usually indicates a problem with your browser in incognito or guest mode. However, the reasons behind this Netflix incognito error could be different. For these reasons, you are offered many methods and you can apply them accordingly.

  • Fix 1 Deactivate incognito mode

As mentioned above, the error code M7399-1260-00000024 is associated with incognito or guest mode. What is anonymous mode and guest mode?

As we all know, when surfing the Internet there are always traces such as cookies in the browser that reveal the privacy of the user. To prevent this, Google Chrome offers an incognito and a guest mode.

In incognito mode, the computer can:

It does not store browser history or cookies. Each user is allowed to enjoy a dedicated session. Users are allowed to use the installed plug-in but are not allowed to install the plug-in. In guest mode, computer:

It also doesn’t store browsing history or cookies. However, users are allowed to view their current browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, auto-complete data, and other Chrome settings. Ensures that all anonymous users have a common session. Users are not allowed to use any installed plug-ins or install plug-ins for anonymous users. Incognito mode is a good thing, but Netflix doesn’t seem to support it, as Netflix offers different content in different regions to meet content restrictions that vary from country to country.

It should get your location from your browser, but incognito mode prevents this from happening. As a result, an anonymous mode bug occurred which completely prevented the content from being played.

To fix Netflix incognito mode error, all you need to do is turn off incognito mode or guest mode. To enable and disable incognito mode in Chrome:

Open Google Chrome.   To turn off incognito mode, all you have to do is close the incognito window. To enable or disable guest mode in Chrome:

Open Google Chrome. Click the profile icon in the upper right corner and select the guest. To exit guest mode, simply close the guest mode browser window. Or you can turn off Google Chrome by closing all windows and turning them back on.

Allow plug-in anonymously in Chrome and Firefox

  • Fix 2. Empty space

When you watch videos online, your computer usually writes cache files to C drive to play the video more smoothly. Cache files take up little space.

So if you have less than 100MB of space on your computer (especially drive C), you will see the error code: M7399-1260-00000024 to prevent you from continuing to watch Netflix.

  1. Delete unnecessary files

The safest thing to do is to delete photos, videos, and various documents that you don’t need. That saves a lot of space. However, when you use your computer for a long time, your computer, especially the C drive, becomes full of many files that are easily overlooked.  Here is the guide:

Step 1: Free download and launch Manitou Partition Wizard. Go to the main interface and click on Space Analyzer.

Step 2: Select the drive that you want to free up space, and then click Scan.

Step 3: After the scanning process is finished, you can choose the files that you want to delete. If you don’t know what files to delete, please see this post for help: How to Find Large Files Taking up Hard Drive in Windows 10.

  1. Move files to another location

If you do not want to delete these files, you can move these files from drive C to another drive or an external drive. You can also upload these files to the cloud and then delete them from your local desktop. Basically, you need to have enough space on your C drive and your computer.

  1. Expand drive C

As I mentioned above, up-to-date movies may be needed to write cache files to C drive, so the error code: M7399-1260-00000024 is mostly related to the space on C drive. To get more space for C drive, you can expand C drives with the free C MiniTool Partition Wizard. Here is a guide:

Step 1: Run Miniboom Partition Wizard and go to the main interface. Right-click on the C drive and select Expand from the context menu.

Step 2: Expand the drop-down list to choose the drive you want to occupy, and then drag the slider to choose the free space you want. Then click the OK button and the empty space will be added to C drive.

Step 3: Click the Apply button. If you want more ways to edit C drive, please see the post below:
